Carroll Lutheran School in Westminster, Maryland will hold a Women’s Self Defense class on Friday, March 11th, 2016, at the school Gymnasium from 7pm – 10pm. Carroll Lutheran School is located at 1738 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, Maryland, 21158.
The event is open to all women to learn about how one can effectively defend oneself in a variety of situations. The class will be taught by Hanover Boxing Club’s Joe Dressel, a fourth degree black belt in Hapkido. This class isn’t just about “midnight in the city” types of defense, it’s about establishing boundaries and sticking to them, no matter your age.
The event is open to the public and any woman of most any age may attend. This class is suggested for middle school age or older, but parents can bring younger girls if they feel it is appropriate. No child care will be provided, so all who attend must participate. This is a “woman only” event.
Registration is open now for the event. Ticket prices are $25 per person for adults and $10 per child. For any registrations received and paid by February 29th, the ticket price will be $5 off.
