Carroll Lutheran School Programs

Carroll Lutheran School offers a well-rounded curriculum based on that used by the Carroll County Public School System in an environment where children are enriched by faith-based values that help them build character and develop as strong learners and citizens.

Our academic program is balanced with weekly specials and additional learning experiences through on-site presentations, field trips, student-run, and Club and Service Learning activities. With the recent construction of our Outdoor Classroom pavilion, we will be taking advantage of unique wetlands area on our campus to engage in service learning and environmental stewardship.

In CLS kindergarten we focus on exploring and laying a solid academic groundwork in reading, math, and faith studies. Our approach centers on fostering a passion for learning and discovery through interactive instructions. Students in all grades also have guidance lessons.

The students in 3rd and 4th grades get prepared for middle school by having one teacher for ELA/Social Studies and one teacher for STEM. This instructional model teaches students how to refocus by requiring students to change classes. In addition, each class is longer thus allowing the teachers more flexibility with the breakdown of content and instruction. The 3rd and 4th grades remain separated for homeroom, special classes, and faith studies. Students in all grades also have guidance lessons.
