Carroll Lutheran School Supports God’s Global Barnyard

As part of the chapel services at CLS, students give monetary gifts to support the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) World Hunger projects. Cornerstones of this work include hunger education, advocacy and projects focused on agriculture, livestock, water, health care and job training to help people lift themselves out of hunger and poverty for the long-term. With the offerings, students purchase animals for God’s Global Barnyard. To date, students have collected $235 and purchased three chicks, a honeybee hive, a sheep, and a share of a cow. Offerings in January and May will be dedicated to purchasing more animals for God’s Global Barnyard. CLS fourth graders are to be recognized for their leadership. They count the money and are the students who decide what purchases will be made.

Carroll Lutheran School is a private Christian school serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade from families across the County and Pennsylvania. Families looking for a quality education in a faith-based environment are encouraged to visit the school located at 1738 Old Taneytown Road in Westminster.
